Colorful Negotiations
Meera: "Riya, can I borrow your purple crayon? Mine broke."
Riya: "Hmm... I’m still coloring my mango. I need it now."
Meera: "But my rangoli sun looks so dull without it."
Riya: "You always ask for my colors. What if you lose this one too?"
Amma: "What’s happening, little artists?"
Meera: "Amma, I just want the purple for a bit. Please?"
Riya: "And I don’t want my crayons to disappear again."
Amma: "Riya, remember when you forgot your lunchbox and Meera shared her curd rice?"
Riya: "Yeah… it was so yummy with that crunchy pickle."
Meera: "You can have my green and orange now, if you want."
Riya: "Okay, here, take the purple. But give it back after your sun, okay?"
Meera: "Thank you, Riya! I’ll be super careful."
Riya: "You’re welcome. You can ask me anytime… just don’t chew the crayons like last time."
Meera: "Deal! I’ll only chew Amma’s crispy dosas, not your crayons."
