Rangoli Collaboration
Meera: "Our class rangoli looks so plain. Just circles and lines."
Arjun: "Ma’am said everyone has to bring something from home to make it special."
Meera: "I forgot! I only have these old bindis in my pocket."
Arjun: "Old bindis are boring. Look at my shiny sequins from Amma’s sari box!"
Meera: "Then your side will look pretty and my side will look empty."
Arjun: "Maybe the teacher won’t even see what you did."
Ma’am: "Arjun, in our rangoli, every little bit matters. Big or small."
Meera: "But my bindis are all different sizes and colours. They won’t match your sequins."
Arjun: "Yeah, they’ll look messy next to my neat rows."
Ma’am: "Festivals are full of many colours, not just one. Try placing them and see."
Meera: "I’ll put the tiny blue ones like raindrops around the diya."
Arjun: "And I’ll make a golden sun with my sequins in the middle."
Meera: "Now it looks like the sun and rain together. Like the first day of monsoon!"
Arjun: "Whoa, it suddenly looks so alive. Your bindis make it pop."
Ma’am: "That’s what happens when each of you contribute your own special touch."
Meera: "So I can contribute even with small, funny bindis?"
Arjun: "Yeah. I’ll bring Amma’s old buttons tomorrow so I can contribute more shapes too!"
