A Conversation Between Leela and Dadi
Leela: "Dadi, why are you singing that old song again?"
Dadi: "Because it reminds me of your mother when she was a little girl, and it always makes me happy."
Leela: "You're singing so softly, it sounds like you're talking to the plants."
Dadi: "I guess I am, in a way - I crooned to them when they were just seeds, and now look how strong they've grown."
Leela: "Really? You think the plants liked your singing?"
Dadi: "I like to think so, beta - when I crooned, they seemed to lean in, as if they were listening to the story in the song."
Leela: "Can you teach me how to croon like that, Dadi, so I can sing to my own plants when I grow up?"
