Anya and Kabir's Sweet Treat
Anya: "Look, Kabir! Amma bought jalebis! So many orange swirls!"
Kabir: "Whoa, they’re shiny and sticky. I want the biggest one!"
Amma: "Easy, you two. Take one each first. They’re still warm."
Anya: "Mmm… it’s crunchy outside and soft inside. It’s like eating sunshine."
Kabir: "Mine is already smaller! I just took two bites and it’s almost gone."
Anya: "Don’t gobble, Kabir. I want to make mine last forever."
Kabir: "You can’t. See? My fingers are empty already. Jalebis disappear too fast."
Anya: "Hey! You took a bite from mine!"
Kabir: "Just a tiny one. It was calling my name."
Anya: "Now it’s even smaller. This happiness is running away."
Amma: "That’s how some treats are, Anya. Sweet, sticky, and gone in a moment."
Kabir: "Like the rainbow yesterday! It came after the rain and then—poof—finished."
Anya: "And the bubbles we blew on the balcony. They float, shine, and then they’re just… air."
Amma: "Yes, those little things don’t stay for long. That’s what we call ephemeral."
Kabir: "Ephemeral means jalebis, rainbows, and bubbles that don’t wait for anyone."
Anya: "Hmm. If they’re ephemeral, I’ll taste every crumb before they vanish."
Kabir: "And I’ll look extra hard at the next rainbow, before the ephemeral colors run away."
Amma: "Good. Some ephemeral things are the sweetest because we enjoy them while they’re here."
