Homework Motivation
Ananya: "Uff, this homework is never-ending. I just want to sleep."
Kabir: "Same. My pencil is tired. Look, it’s not even writing straight."
Amma: "You two said the same thing before making laddoos for Diwali, remember?"
Ananya: "That was different. Laddoos are yummy. Homework is… not laddoo."
Kabir: "Yeah, nobody says, ‘Yay, more math!’"
Amma: "But you both woke up early that day, rolled all the laddoos, and even argued about whose were rounder."
Ananya: "Because I wanted mine to be perfect. I wanted to show Paati on video call."
Kabir: "And I wanted the biggest share to eat."
Amma: "Exactly. You were so motivated, you didn’t even notice the time."
Ananya: "Motivated means… when you really, really want something to happen, right?"
Kabir: "Like when I’m first in line for pani puri. I’m super fast and super motivated."
Amma: "So what do you want to happen now?"
Ananya: "I want this homework to disappear into a black hole."
Kabir: "I want the TV to appear from a magic cloud."
Amma: "What if finishing homework means extra gulab jamun after dinner?"
Kabir: "Extra? Like, not just one squishy ball, but two?"
Amma: "If you finish without whining, I’ll heat them so the syrup is warm."
Ananya: "Hmm. Warm gulab jamun with ice cream… that sounds better than a black hole."
Kabir: "My pencil suddenly feels strong. It’s… flexing."
Ananya: "Okay, I’m motivated now. I’m going to finish these sums super fast."
Kabir: "Me too. I’m the most gulab-jamun-motivated boy in the whole building."
Amma: "That’s the spirit. Let your motivation be sweeter than your dessert."
