The Tooth Fairy Debate
Anya: "Look, Kabir! I’m putting my tooth under the pillow. Tonight the Tooth Fairy will come."
Kabir: "Tooth Fairy? That’s just Amma taking your tooth and giving you money."
Anya: "Shhh! Don’t say that. I’m believing she’s real."
Kabir: "But I saw Amma’s purse on the table last time. Same ten-rupee note."
Anya: "Maybe the Tooth Fairy borrowed it. Fairies don’t carry wallets, you know."
Kabir: "Hmm. I’m believing my eyes more than your fairy story."
Amma: "What are you two whispering about while I’m frying dosas?"
Anya: "Kabir says the Tooth Fairy is fake. I’m believing in her, Amma."
Kabir: "And I’m believing it’s you sneaking in like a ninja with money."
Amma: "Sometimes believing is about what makes your heart feel warm, not just what your eyes see."
Anya: "See? My heart feels warm and tingly, like when I smell your ghee on hot dosa."
Kabir: "My heart feels hungry. I mostly believe in dosa."
Amma: "You can both keep believing your own way and still be kind to each other."
Anya: "Okay… I’ll let you believe it’s Amma. But don’t spoil my believing in a sparkly fairy."
Kabir: "Deal. I won’t say anything, even if I catch Amma—or a fairy—with a torch at night."
Amma: "Good. Now eat your dosas and let’s see whose believing brings more magic under that pillow."
