On Sunday morning, Amma spread newspapers on the floor and emptied a big box of toys. “Too many,” she said, laughing. “Let’s find the joy of simplicity today.”
Mira looked at the pile—cars, dolls, plastic fruits, a noisy robot. She felt a little lost. “Then…what will we play with?” she asked.
Amma went to the kitchen and came back with a round steel plate and a spoon. “Try this,” she whispered, like sharing a secret.
